The Huawei ICT Competition 2023–2024 for the Middle East and Central Asia was hosted in Bahrain under the esteemed patronage of H.H. Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. HBBS was entrusted with the end-to-end design and execution of this prestigious four-day event, spanning multiple venues including the University of Bahrain. With over 22 national finalist teams, 66 students, and 20 tutors from 11 countries, the scale demanded meticulous planning, flawless execution, and the highest standards of delivery.
- Full event concept development and master planning
- Stage design, seating layouts, and complete setup execution across venues
- Technical infrastructure: screens, lighting, sound, and AV systems
- Branding and production of all event collaterals
- A bespoke prop with illuminating elements to mark the launch of Huawei’s AI Arabic learning app
- VIP hospitality, including majlis setups.
- Custom-designed VIP chairs and trophy presentations
- Safety and quality control throughout all venues

Plan of Action
From the outset, HBBS crafted a master plan tailored to the magnitude of this regional competition. Our team began with detailed design concepts and logistical frameworks to ensure each venue reflected the event’s prestige. HBBS executed the project through a carefully coordinated approach that balanced scale, precision, and cultural relevance. Strict quality and safety standards were maintained at every stage, ensuring that both participants and VIP guests experienced a seamless, world-class event across all four days.
Conclusion
The event successfully brought together 66 students and 20 tutors from across the Middle East and Central Asia in an engaging, world-class competition environment. With flawless execution and elevated experiences across all venues, HBBS reinforced its reputation for delivering large-scale, high-profile events with distinction.
