HBBS was tasked with developing the Huawei ICT Lab at the University of Bahrain into a modern, fully equipped, and technologically advanced learning environment. The project involved a complete overhaul, from interior design to technical infrastructure, ensuring the lab not only met functional requirements but also provided an engaging and collaborative space for students and faculty.
Key highlights include:
- Complete interior redesign including parquet flooring, wall painting, storage cabinets, and creative wall and corridor branding that gave the lab a futuristic identity.
- Custom fabrication and installation of pentagon-shaped student tables to optimize space, improve visibility, and foster collaborative learning, along with teacher tables and storage units.
- Full technical setup: installation of servers, network switches, Wi-Fi access points, network cabling laid underground, and all associated power and connectivity infrastructure.
- Modern learning hubs, including the Idea Hub, integrated seamlessly with the lab’s technical and aesthetic design.
- End-to-end project management including furniture, flooring, painting, AV integration, branding, and quality control, ensuring a complete transformation.
Redefining the learning experience, HBBS advanced Huawei’s ICT Lab into a state-of-the-art educational space where technology, design, and collaboration converge.
Plan of Action
From conceptualization to execution, HBBS managed every detail of the lab transformation. Interior layouts were redesigned for optimal flow, pentagon-shaped tables were carefully crafted to enhance student collaboration and sightlines, and technical infrastructure – including servers, cabling, and network equipment, was installed with precision. Strategic branding and futuristic design elements created an inspiring environment, while strict quality and safety standards were maintained throughout the project.
